Contact:

Jazmyn Vickers (she/her) is an Advocacy Coordinator at the CARES program and provides advocacy and support services to students, faculty, and staff who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, harassment, and other forms of gender-based violence. As a confidential resource on campus, Jazmyn offers support and advocacy regardless of whether an individual chooses to report their experience to the university or law enforcement. If an individual does choose to report, Jazmyn can provide accompaniment and support through campus Title IX processes, law enforcement, and court proceedings.

Jazmyn holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Appalachian State University and has previously worked as an advocate in the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining The Women’s Center, Jazmyn managed an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence, where she provided crisis intervention, safety planning, and comprehensive survivor-centered advocacy. Her work included medical advocacy, court advocacy, accompaniment to protective order hearings, and coordination with community partners to support survivors’ safety, autonomy, and healing. She is passionate about trauma-informed advocacy and is committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment for all members of the campus community.
